Recently some reports claim that BlackRock is now selling small and low performing stocks and increasing its investment in big stocks like Tesla so that BlackRock can get maximum benefit from Made in American Stocks in EV, Renewable Energy. BlackRock considered to sell or stake Their smaller holdings, like Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Rocket Lab, or Orla Mining, that are part of a diversified portfolio of 5,455 positions, often in small-cap or niche sectors, driven by index requirements, growth potential, and client demand. Recently, BlackKRcok has reported that they did not get much benefit from long-term holdings of stocks with new and smaller positions like Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Orla Mining, Tonix Pharmaceuticals, Rocket Lab Corporation, and Bakkt Holdings and they said that now due to the tariff war more and more small companies in the US are getting bankrupt. Recently, the Tesla Board has given a package of $1 trillion dollar to Elon Musk, which directly means that in the future Elon Musk will buy Lithium mining from many countries of Asia along with Africa, Europe and Latin America so that Chinese BYD and Renewable energy can be caught in the future. Currently, most of the lithium is found in Latin America’s Bolivia, Argentina, Russia, African countries and many south Asian countries.

Why BlackRock Sells $100 Billion worth of Mid Cap and Small Cap stocks?

BlackRock has said that if the companies within small-cap or mid-cap stocks do not perform well in the last 6 months, then it is possible that BlackRock will sell their shares and buy large-cap stocks so that BlackRock’s market cap is given stability. So in such a situation, predictions have already been made about a big inflation and collapse of the dollar in the US due to which it has been said that due to US rocks the dominance of the dollar is stable globally but then after the gold reserves, the most money of the world is invested in US stocks. Recently, BlackRock’s owned Vanguard has bought Tesla Stocks and other US-Tech stocks amid tariff war, CPI rate, and potential lowering of Fed-Rate-cut in 2025. According to the latest available 13F filing for Q2 2025, BlackRock owns 185,529,689 Tesla shares, valued at approximately $65.09 billion. Tesla is a major component in BlackRock’s portfolio due to its large market capitalization and inclusion in indices like the S&P 500, which BlackRock’s index funds, such as those in the iShares group, track. So it has been reported that in the coming time BlackRock will increase its investment in top US-tech, Renewable energy, and AI stocks which are going to give a huge profit in the future.
