North Korea to purchase the Bavar-373 air defence system against US presence in East Asia

Recently, North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong has described Iranian defense and aerial technology as the most advanced in the world, which also includes Iranian missiles, drones and radar. Iranian Bavar-373 is an long-range, road mobile surface-to-air missile system unveiled in 2016 and performed against US-Israeli Drones, Missiles and jets in recent middle east nuclear conflicts. North Korean defense system scientists said, the iranian Bavar-373 has designed to be a competitor to the Russian S-300 and S-400 systems developed and manufactured by Iran’s Ministry of Defense. An upgraded version of the Bavar-373 was unveiled in 2021, with claims that it surpasses the capabilities of the S-400. Iran is also developing a new solid-propellant missile, the Sayyad-4B, for the Bavar-373, which has a range of 300 km. It is designed to intercept a variety of threats including aircraft, drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The system utilizes an AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar with 360-degree coverage and high-power S-Band and L-Band radars for detecting low-RCS (radar cross-section) stealth aircraft. 

Why North Korea purchasing Iranian Bavar-373 air defence system against American Military presence in East Asia?

Recently it has been told that after Iran-Israel, Ukraine-Russia and China-Taiwan, North Korea can also jump into war because it has been told that North Korea has Military, Nuclear bombs, and a strong defense military but its Air Defense System is almost nothing. So in such a situation, it is also possible that Iran and North Korea can exchange drones, missiles and nuclear capabilities in the future, which will be the biggest blow to the US military presence in the South China Sea. Recently, North Korea’s HQ-19 and S-400 deal was about to be finalized with Russia and China, but due to the Russia–Ukraine war, many countries are now delaying the provision of air defense systems to North Korea. Actually, North Korea has its own Pongae-5 surface-to-air missile system, but till now the North Korean military has not used it because it has been told that in future North Korea can buy Iranian Bavar-373 against the US-South Korean military. The North Korean KN-06 surface-to-air missile system, also known as Pongae-5, is reported to have a range of 150-200 kilometers. Some sources also suggest a range up to 250 kilometers. It is designed to intercept aerial targets at altitudes up to 25 kilometers. The KN-06 system is believed to be a copy of the Russian S-300 system, and is a critical component of North Korea’s air defense network. It is reported to utilize locally produced, stretched 6X6 KamAZ 55111 (Taebaeksan 96) launcher trucks, with each carrying three missile tubes.
